Lampshade (Spare Part)

The delicate glass lampshade of one of our floor lamps shattered, prompting me to create a replacement part on the fly.\r\nTo do this, I utilized Freecad's design capabilities, then exported the model into Blender for further refinement and a more organic shape.\r\nA quick render test helped ensure the new design would meet my expectations.\r\nThe first print attempt with white filament was unsuccessful due to excessively thick walls, prompting me to redesign with spiralized outlines for the second iteration - which turned out excellent, allowing sufficient transparency to let light pass through.\r\n\r\nThe lamp's base measures 75 mm in width, while a 40 mm diameter hole accommodates the lamp socket.\r\nThe shade itself stands approximately 130 mm tall.\r\n\r\nCaution: Ensure use with LED or energy-saving lamps exclusively. PLA can become hot and soft, potentially deforming and coming into contact with the lamp, which may cause it to catch fire.
