Replacement lamp shade for Ikea Basisk. Strange shape, but print without support. Holes at the bottom are to let the fixation screws pass through (on the original Ikea design, they do not: they fix the shade by tighten it. I find this way safer) I know: I could have just used the original shape (flat top) and printed it upside-down. But such big flat surface, for such a big piece, had a high risk of warping (besides, I designed this 2 years ago. Back then, I had tried glue, blue tapes, krafton tapes, hairspray, abs layers,.... everything lead to either warping, or a piece impossible to remove without damage. It took me 7 years of trial and error to finally discover that the best adhesion layer, was nothing at all. Today, I would give a try to "flat top, printed bottom up" version) So all this being said, that version should be printed as is, without support nor brim, nor raft. I do not recommend "vase" setting, unless you print with a flexible material. With PLA, it is too brittle.
