prusaprinters

Because my printer is sitting in a dark corner, I wanted some light to better watch the first layer.

The light consist of seven white LEDs, witch are soldered together and powered via USB. (see wiring diagram; Resistor should be about 100Ohms, dependent on your LEDs). For the button I used one I had laying around, I think the type is called "A14", but I am not sure about this.

It is designed with a segmented arm, so it is easy to move it around. The segments require a lot of force to assemble and are a bit stiff, but that way the lamp holds its position better. I used about 20 segments for the arm, but you could probably use fewer
The ball parts of the segment have a diameter of 10mm.

The Base is mounted to the aluminium extrusion with a M4 bolt and a nut.

The size of the LED housing an holder are to fit my part, but you could end up needing outher measures, so I uplouded the step files, so it is easier for you to make it fit for your part.

Print instructions

Printed in PLA with 0.1mm Layer hight
Supports needed for base and LED Housing
