thingiverse
This is a knob cap that assists turning your lamp switch knob. Some lamps are too tight to turn, or sometimes you simply have wet hands. This cap fits snugly onto standard-size knobs and makes turning significantly easier. Printing this with glow-in-the-dark ABS material will make the switch even simpler to locate. The hole measures 6.5 mm in diameter, while the entire cap measures 18 mm in diameter. Print Settings Rafts Do not use rafts. Supports No supports are necessary. Resolution Set resolution to 0.2 mm. Infill Infill between 20% and 80%. Notes The ABS model I printed worked perfectly. Since the hole is a hexagon, size isn't extremely important, but it's essential to match standard knobs measuring between 6 and 7 mm in diameter. The length of this cap can be adjusted to fit individual lamps. Post-Printing Installation To install, gently press this on your knob with moderate pressure. If your knob is significantly larger, consider removing the knob first before forcing it on using a book or hammer to push it into place. Remember to secure this tight as you will use it frequently, avoiding any need for adjustments unless the hole proves too small.
