My wife's reading lamp shines so intensely that she points it directly at the ceiling whenever she reads. It kept me awake at night, so I decided to create a shade to redirect the light. I printed this shade using white PLA, which glows remarkably well in this scenario. To achieve the desired effect, I lined the interior of the shade with aluminum tape. Designing This Project This was my first design-print project ever. I took precise measurements from the lamp housing and crafted a shape that would fit snugly onto it. I designed this shade using AutoCAD 2007.
