Lamp Shade

I engineered this replacement lamp shade to surpass a cracked one (likely an IKEA item). The crucial aspect was the bottom, as it required fitting snugly into two notches on the lamp that secure it in place. Using precise measurements from a caliper, I designed the part to mirror its original counterpart. I halted the initial print prematurely to verify that the part fit seamlessly and notches aligned perfectly. I 3D printed this component in PLA and have had it installed for almost two years now. Fortunately, my LED bulbs pose no risk of melting the plastic with heat, ensuring a long-lasting solution.
