Lamp Post Component

Lamp Post Component

I'm attempting to create a replacement part for this lamp post for the first time. The original component appears to be made of metal, possibly aluminum since a magnet cannot adhere to it. It has already broken, so I'm trying out a plastic alternative with a thicker wall. We'll see if I can get it sized correctly for installation. Once that's done, it will be fascinating to observe how it withstands the stresses and heat generated by the light. The set of three holes serves as a guide for M4 tapped holes, while the hole at the bottom marks the center point of the part. A larger hole will need to be drilled in later on, but since this specific area is already damaged, I'm unsure about the required size of the hole.
