Lamp Holder for Hampton Bay Counter Rotating Pilot Ceiling Fan
thingiverse
The Hampton Bay "Pilot" ceiling fan comes with a single Halogen light in the light kit, which has several drawbacks. Most notably, the light bulb is visible through the frosted glass, giving it an unappealing appearance. Moreover, the light fixture generates heat, and it will consume bulbs at an alarming rate. Fortunately, this print makes it possible to replace the Halogen bulb with three LED bulbs. I opted for SIMBA LED E11 8W 120V 3000K Dimmable bulbs purchased from Amazon. Additionally, you'll need extra E11 sockets, which can also be obtained from Amazon since they're not commonly found in local stores. To install the new lighting system, I cut off the connectors on the supplied fixture and soldered all three LED sockets in parallel. Given that this is a 120V setup, it's essential to use high-quality heat shrink and other safety precautions. The result is a pleasant, cool light that displays three symmetrical patterns through the frosted glass, creating a visually appealing effect.
