Lamp Extender

Lamp Extender

I had an idea based on the classic, wall-mounted, extended shaving mirror design. I thought, "What can I do with a broken halogen lamp that I thought I could recycle?" The result is this project. Update to come! The End piece of this thing is open-source, and you can put whatever you like at the end. I have to admit, this was my first-ever designed-and-printed project, so don't be too hard on me about the imperfections. **Instructions** For each part of the extender, you'll need two double-length plates (Double_length.stl) and single-length plates (Single_length.stl). I needed only two, but you can print as many as you want! The wall mount has options: use the fixed holder (top_wall_bracket_slider_V3.stl) for a straight-on action or the top-wall-bracket-slider-V2.stl with top_wall_bracket_V2.stl for full 180-degree movement. To assemble this thing, you'll need one slider (slider.stl) and one bottom wall clamp (bottom_wall_clamp.stl). For the end section, use one single-lamp-end piece (single_lamp_end.stl), plus one each of right-lamp-strut (right_lamp_strut.stl) and left-lamp-strut (left_lamp_strut.stl). The Lamp_End.stl holds a 13mm diameter tube, which is where my broken lamp part fits. Use the cable-holder.stl to run cables along the extender to the lamp end. **Vitamins** You'll need these things: - 10 six-millimeter bolts and nuts - 1 piece of 4 millimeter diameter piano wire that's 20 centimeters long - 6 wall screws
