Laminar Flow Fountain Head with Garden Hose Threads

On March 22, 2014, a change was made to eliminate the cap with tapered nozzle, which contributed to turbulence. Instead, a functional 20mm straight-sided nozzle was uploaded, as seen in recent photos featuring a yellow cap. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and discussion. The inspiration for this project came from a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ijn98G0I99E), and there's also a Wikipedia entry on laminar flow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laminar_flow). This 3D-printable design features several threaded pieces, which printed well. The components required for assembly include one cap, one tube, and one bottom cap with GHT, all with .3 layer height, 60% infill, and three perimeters. Two baffles are also needed, with no top/bottom solids, 20% infill, and five perimeters. The user plans to print only the baffle rings and use commercial nylon screen for better stream reduction. ZenToolworks ABS (Clear/transparent) was used for the majority of the design, while yellow ABS was utilized for some later caps. The designer hopes others will refine this model and potentially create an illuminated version in the future.
