Lament Configuration
thingiverse
This is a first attempt at creating a 3D-printable "Lament Configuration" prop - also known as the box from the Hellraiser series of films. This comes in six faces that meet up and fit together with spherical linkage points, requiring glue to hold it together.\nV2 will hopefully just slot together without adhesives, but this is a first attempt, getting the detail on the faces correct was a higher priority.\nAs posted on Quintendo.uk\nHow I Designed This\nThis design was created using freecad, mainly as a learning experience to get up to speed on how to model with the software.\nThe face details were taken from Artist064 on Deviant art (http://artist064.deviantart.com/gallery/), converted to SVG with inkscape, then incorporated into the freecad design.\nFiles for the fcstd/svg will be posted if there's any interest; let me know.\n\n \n \n Not Yet Tested\nThis has not yet been printed (as I have not yet finished building my reprap), so unsure how well it will look when completed at present.\nAlthough I haven't printed it myself, buck_furious has (https://www.thingiverse.com/make:263739), and it's come out great! He thinks it's a little large though, so I suggest printing scaled to 85%
