Good morning! Here's my latest trick in the tools and DIY series... It's a blade guard for a plow plane (or carpenter, both are available) I picked mine up at a bric-a-brac store for about 20 euros. And for that price, I didn't expect to get a protective leather case - but it doesn't matter! For a long time, I used a simple piece of cardboard with a wooden pin made in the same way as the one you see here. But that still didn't work out too well. Today, I decided to make myself a case that's fashionable and feminine, rigid yet very effective because my plane cuts poorly! The blade is 160mm long. The radius of curvature on the case is slightly greater than the blade, which makes it easy to maintain - it doesn't slip because it's constrained. There's no risk of it falling off like a sock that's too big! So if you're interested, this one's for you. Enjoy!
