The Lamborghini Gallardo Balboni, named after test driver Valentino Balboni, is a rare edition limited to just 250 units. Unlike contemporary models, this version features rear-wheel drive and weighs 30 kg less at 1,470 kg. It boasts an engine rated at 550 PS and other features such as optional E-gear transmission, 45% limited slip differential, black full leather upholstery with white stripes, a Polar white center console, and a central stripe down the car. The production number and Balboni's signature adorn a badge on the left side window. A one-off version was created by the Singapore distributor, Eurosport, with Reiter Engineering Super Trofeo Strada bodywork and Superleggera seats. This edition led to the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni, a 2WD car catering to enthusiast drivers, reaching a top speed of 199 mph and accelerating from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds, according to Lamborghini.
