The Lamborghini Murcielago, an Italian sports car manufactured from 2001 to 2010, succeeded the Diablo as the flagship of Lamborghini's lineup. Assembled in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, this mid-engine all-wheel-drive vehicle featured 2-door coupé and roadster body styles. Designed by Luc Donckerwolke, it was also Lamborghini's first new model under Audi ownership. With 4,099 built, the Murcielago was launched in North America for the 2002 model year.
