Lambent Light (Asuna's rapier)

Edit 2: A gem has now been added to the hilt of this sword. The blade was printed using Monocure clear on a Wanhao D7 printer. You can purchase this item at an affordable price in Europe by visiting http://www.wikimpresa.com/shop. The sheath for this sword is now available, thanks to Mysty's design on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2394332 This sword was remixed and modified from a previous version, with the blade designed directly from a screenshot. To print the sword successfully, you will need an M4 threaded rod or 4mm shaft that is approximately 600mm long to provide it with the necessary resistance. I plan to test print this sword this week and anticipate no issues. You will need a z height of 160mm and about 200g of filament to complete the print job. To print the blade, you should use Print Blade 4 without support. Update 08/04: I have edited Blade 1 to ensure it fits better into the thick trim file. I have also optimized the offset for the handle in the Thick Trim design. Additionally, I have made some changes to the blade detail so that it fits perfectly with the Thick Trim but needs to be mirrored in the slicer. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Clone Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 or .3 for the blade Infill: at least 15% Post-Printing: Sanding and glue are required. Insert the M4 rod or shaft, adding epoxy glue to all contact points. When it is dry, sand the piece and then you can prime and paint.
