Lake Pupuke 1940

Lake Pupuke was formed as a volcanic crater roughly 200,000 years ago. Decades of extracting water from the lake to supply local residents had dropped the lake level by 1940 below its current mark. In fact, aerial photos taken at that time revealed a bay in the northeastern part of the lake had turned into dry land. The location was Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand. The images were provided courtesy of retrolens.nz . My three-dimensional model, generated using photogrammetry software 3DF Zephyr v4.350 and five images, is reuploaded.
