Install the gauge into the clip by ensuring the guide hole and mounting slot are clean. Put the end of the probe through the guide hole then slot the lug back into the slot at the top of the clip. Make sure the probe moves freely before securing the dial with an M4 bolt and nut. Do not attach the clip to the carriage yet. Use the "level build plate" command on Sailfish firmware or 'home axis' followed by jogging the carriage if not using Sailfish, moving it to the back center of the plate. Clip the gauge onto the front of the Replicator's carriage, with the dial facing forward for easy reading. Adjust the print bed height using a paper or feeler gauge, then set the 'zero' on the dial gauge. Move the probe around the print bed and adjust the bed height accordingly. Unclip the gauge once leveling is complete and proceed to print. Ensure you raise the print bed and clip on the gauge after placing the carriage, as collisions may occur otherwise. The front two-thirds of the bed should be level enough for the back to follow suit due to its straight line connection. Optionally, modify OpenSCAD script to use a larger bolt if desired.
