Setting supports to buildplate only is crucial for an Ender 5 Direct Drive setup, especially when accommodating the MicroSwiss Hotend. To ensure a smooth fit, I've enlarged the hotend hole slightly to accommodate the hotend's unique design. If you encounter difficulties with this setup, consider trimming off the lip of the C-style insert on the right side, allowing for a simple push-on installation rather than sliding it into place. Additionally, I've designed a spacer specifically for attaching the Direct Drive Motor to the backside of the Bondtech or its clone. This design was initially intended for longer screws found in the Ender 5 Direct Drive kits available on eBay. However, you may need to machine additional holes to suit your extruder's drive. I've included several images showcasing the finished product.
