Lady Morgan at The V&A, London

Lady Morgain (1778-1859) was a highly accomplished Irish writer whose works fiercely advocated for disenfranchised Catholics and women's rights. Standing at less than four feet tall, she bore a noticeable spinal and facial deformity. The sculpture, commissioned by her from renowned French sculptor David d'Angers, masterfully captures her spirited and resolute personality. This object is part of the "Scan The World" initiative launched by MyMiniFactory, which aims to create a comprehensive digital repository of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for public access at no cost. Scan the World is an open-source community project; if you have unique items nearby and wish to contribute, email stw@myminifactory.com to learn how you can participate.
