Lacrosse LTV-R2 rain sensor platform
thingiverse
I finally got my rain sensor installed and realized I didn't want water constantly dumping onto a fence post, so I decided to use a bracket to redirect the flow. To do that, I customized a design found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3404532 but I needed a platform to sit on top of it to attach the sensor and the bracket properly. The bracket itself uses a single layer bridge for the holes. If you're using thicker layers than 0.2mm, you might need to tweak the design slightly. Check out this link for more information: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/aOTECbNegb0 I used PETG material for added sun and rain resistance. Since I didn't want to support the bridge, I could keep it thin without a lot of cleanup hassle. This device requires precision to work level, so minimalism was key in this case.
