Lack Table Risers for Enclosure
prusaprinters

Shortly after getting a 3d printer, I decided I wanted an enclosure for it for a variety of reasons. Sound suppression, air cleaning, temperature control, and keeping little hands and flying toys from accidentally hitting it. I looked at a lot of peoples designs for the lack enclosure. After a bit of trial and error, I decided to customize the parts for what was available to me locally. I purchased some thin 1/8" clear plastic for the sides, one of their dimensions came in 18", so that was my target for desk to bottom of lack table height. I then created the risers to fit that target.
The clear plastic panels are drilled in each corner and screwed into place with small nuts and machine screws. The front door is magnet mounted so that it can come off entirely and not be in the way when working on the printer.
The back of the unit is 1/2" plywood mounted to the back of the desk to attached with latches. On the back of the wood I've mounted the electronics to keep them cooler. Power supply, raspberry pi (octopi), relay switch, and usb hub.

Print instructions

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
