Lack table enclosure with hidden leg extensions
thingiverse
I've been fixated on Ikea Lack enclosures for quite some time now, but I was turned off by the bulky appearance of the printed leg extensions that most people use. I decided to print out some samples, and in addition to the long print times, I calculated that it would be cheaper to purchase another table altogether. If only there were a sleek way to connect the legs together...\r\n\r\nSnocat came to my rescue https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3125171 - I used their insert as is without any modifications. It provides a very snug fit inside the legs, but it holds everything together nicely. I didn't need their drilling guide since I had other plans.\r\n\r\nI've gone into great detail about the Ikea legs in the section below. I couldn't find this information on other builds, so hopefully it'll be helpful to someone else.
