I use three 6.4mm by 1.6mm rare earth disc magnets, each one a powerhouse of magnetic force. I began with two, but discovered that adding a third significantly improved the overall pull. You can find these amazing magnets at https://www.rare-earth-magnets.com/magcraft-nsn0657. To assemble the frame, I need #4 x 3/4" wood screws, which you can purchase in packs of four from Home Depot: http://www.homedepot.com/p/4-x-3-4-in-Philips-Brass-Flat-Head-Wood-Screws-4-per-Pack-809521/204275704. For the door's bolts and nuts, I'm using #8 32 x 1/2" zinc-plated round-head combo-drive machine screws. You can buy these in packs of eight from Home Depot: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-8-32-tpi-x-1-2-in-Zinc-Plated-Round-Head-Combo-Drive-Machine-Screw-8-Piece-803091/204274611.
