Ikea Lack End Table Leg Support

Lack coffee tables sure are great for the price but they're also super flimsy & jiggly.

Their jigglyness makes using them as a printer stand a bit problematic. For that reason, I went ahead and threw together this bracket that makes the legs much more rigid.

Supplies needed:

4 of these brackets

5 1/4inx1in lag screws per bracket (or similar size)

Instructions:

Apply woodglue to the bottom of the legs before screwing them down into the table top. This alone, will make the table more sturdy.

Print 4 brackets --STL found here

Use one of the brackets as a guide to pre-drill the 5 holes per leg. These larger screws will crack the legs otherwise.

Use the 1/4"x1" lag screws to attach the brackets to the table (you'll need 25 screws total)

optional: I went ahead & applied woodglue underneath the brackets because I'm paranoid.
Category: Office
