Lack (IKEA) Table Leg Extension - Nightstand Height
thingiverse
My wife and I are pretty thrifty (okay, we're downright cheap) and have been using Lack tables from IKEA for our nightstands since we moved in a few years ago. It's been bugging me more than her, so I decided to make leg extensions to get them to the right height. The overall design is super-simple and angular, on purpose kept that way to match the design of the original table. Keep in mind that even at 5% infill, a full set costs just under $10 in PLA (roughly the cost for the entire table). However, in our case we already had the tables so $20 for two sets still seemed worth it to me. I've attached the STL, STEP and original Fusion 360 files for easy modding if anyone wants to give it a try (for instance, on ours I put some fun lettering along the front). FYI - the part that slips over the original feet is pretty snug. If you print one, please post a make as I'd love to see how yours turns out! Also, any feedback is appreciated.
