LACK Enclosure with 'Easy-Off' Top and Minimal Printing
thingiverse
After purchasing my first 3D printer (a Wanhao i3 Plus), I began questioning what to place it on. The numerous IKEA LACK designs available on Thingiverse were a great starting point, but I wanted a few additional options… ### Design Objectives * Equipped with wheels – allowing me to easily roll it away (see my: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2614692) * Stable – which is somewhat compromised by placing it on wheels! * Simple and full access to the printer – meaning the top cover needed to be removable, which then led to… * The filament spool not mounted to the top cover – because then I would have to unload the filament to take the top off (see my: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2614686) * Good lighting, with a power source easily disconnected from the base (so I can take the top off) (see my: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2614691) * A clean design, and parts reasonably quick to print
