Design decisions

Apparently 3mm sheet width is not widely available in our local facilities.
Therefore I wanted to get to know Fusion 360 and "fix" this issue for an updated Lack enclosure.
You get one cut per sheet for free for transport reasons. So I ended up with the following dimensions.

Material changes (28.07.2021)

1. 3x 44cmx50cmx4mm
2. 2x 22cmx50cmx4mm

Model changes (28.07.2021)

Retracted all slots on the lower part by 1mm to the inside to fit the 4mm plexiglass sheets.

Retracted the inner Plexiglas notches on the upper unit by 1mm.

Retracted the adjustment arm 3mm into the case, making room for the plexiglas sheet.

Retracted the left connector and its dependants inside.

Retracted the right frame 6 mm into the case.

Retracted the back frame 3mm into the case, rounding the top of the slanted edge.

Reduced the front panel magnet distance by 0.5mm.

Reduced the front panel magnet slot width by 0.25mm
Results in a closer magnet vicinity
NOTE: The retraction results in the magnet slots to be open at the edge of the hinges.
This should not be an issue if you fixate the magnets.
The magnets will have an approximate distance of 3-4 extrusion widths (0.4), still.

Issues I noticed with this design (24.09.2021):

Design may already have been flawed in the original version.

The rounded corners on the back panel may occasionally break, as it seems to be a tight fit. This might be fixed with a closer inspection of the

The rounded corners also tend to have a steep overhang, causing a bad layer adhesion on the bottom / later top. This can look a bit ugly and may result in interference with the desk plate hinges.

The desk plate hinge is badly accessible to screw in the necessary M3s. This may be fixed with a receding Screw plate.

The glass panels don't sit very tight inside the feet. There should be pre-made holes to support an M3/M4-Screw, to hold the panels in place.

The desk plate fixture arm had no print support. Support should be generated where necessary.

The fixture arm doesn't fully recede into the hole, which may cause a little pressure on the arm. The left back side hole therefore should recede a bit further.

The heads of the M3-Screws holding together the top frame may not fully recede into the holes, leaving a gap between frame and desk plate.

If the casing should also be used as a removable, there is lacking rigidity and lifting grip.
