I crafted this custom enclosure for my Wanhao i3Plus using three Ikea Lack tables. It comprises three distinct parts and hinges for the door. The design bears resemblance to other enclosures found on thingiverse, but I created it primarily as a Fusion 360 exercise. Corner 1 Top: Two of these are necessary. Corner 2 Top: Print one as is, then mirror the other. (Since mirroring is straightforward in Cura, I only made one kind.) The top corners are attached between the legs and top of the Lack table. The screws included with the table pass through a hole in the middle of each printed piece. Corner 1 Bottom: Two of these are required. Corner 2 Bottom: Print one as is, then mirror the other. (Again, since mirroring is easy to do in Cura, I only made one kind.) The bottom corners are screwed onto the corners of the middle Lack table. Once attached, the plexiglass sides can slide into slots on the printed corners. The top Lack table is placed on top of the bottom corners, and the plexiglass sides can slide into slots on the top corners. Finally, the legs of the top Lack table are secured to the bottom corners with screws. The Lac_Stack piece allows for stacking several Lack tables without side panels. It is secured to the tabletop and lack legs using screws. The hinges used for the door require two hinge ends and one midsection each. Inside this enclosure, I'm utilizing a spoolholder: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:32204 Designing This Project I designed it in Fusion 360. A simple sketch was made and extruded to the correct height.
