Lack enclosure filament grommet
prusaprinters

This is an alternative to the simple tubes used in the Prusa Lack enclosure, meant to provide an easier path for the filament to the extruder (free left-right movement), especially during taller prints. It requires a routed slot in the Lack top, but it doesn't have to be pretty, as the grommets will cover the rough edges. EDIT: I ended up drilling a 3/8" hole at each end and just connecting the holes by cutting thru the particle board with a utility knife (see photos).
The two halves are assembled into the Lack top from either side and attached with two socket-cap M3 screws (min. 12-15 mm long). I usually prefer to use tapped holes over nuts, especially in cases like this where there isn't a lot of room for nuts. So the only difference between the parts is the size of the holes for the screws… the ‘A’ part has clearance holes and the ‘B’ part should be tapped for M3.
The build file supplied uses PETG and a 0.6 mm nozzle for speed (and 0.4 mm draft setting, 50% infill, supports on build plate), but I think any material and layer height will work.
STEP files included for anyone without taps that wants to remix to use nuts.
