Lack Enclosure Easy-Lift Riser
thingiverse
I'm building a second Lack enclosure for my Anet A8 and wanted to design a custom riser in Fusion 360 to hone my skills. What I came up with was a two-piece riser, allowing me to remove the top portion for maintenance and troubleshooting if needed. This setup gives me flexibility and peace of mind when dealing with printer issues. I think the result is both visually appealing and functional. The male and female parts make it easy to place the top half in position, eliminating any fiddling required to get them perfectly aligned. Additionally, the design is simple enough that anyone can print it without issue. My main concern was stringing between the pillars, but this appears to be more of a printer-related problem than anything else. To minimize the visual impact of stringing, I printed the risers vertically with the unsightly side facing down towards the table. Once they were processed, I attached them using screws on each face and Gorilla Glue on the flat surface. Note: Print the risers at approximately 110% to make them slightly larger than the Lack legs. At 100%, they appear small but are structurally sound.
