Lack 5 spool exterior filament guide
prusaprinters
Designed these filament guides to work with my corner mounted MMU Buffer. I have the spools on holders along the right side of the enclosure. Drilled 8mm holes through the plexi 80mm apart. Ran PTFE through the holes and into these filament guides to keep nice predictable path for the filament. The 2 rail pieces fit together for easy alignment but stay within the build size of the MK3S.I recommend Allen Tech 3mm ID/4mm OD PTFE. A 10' section will be enough with a bit of spare. I use the 3mm ID to reduce drag on the filament since there's not need for the 2mm tightness for the segment from the spool to the buffer. Just be aware the thinner walls of the tubing make it easy to pinch/crimp accidentally so handle it careful when installing. Allen Tech specifically because that's the brand I've found most consistent in the OD measurement with reasonable price and availability. Mount to the top rail of the Lack by either drilling pilot holes small enough for 30mm M3 bolts to thread into it or large enough for 35mm M3s to slip through and take a nut on the inside of the rail. There's no real stress on these so a decent PLA is fine with 0.2mm layer, 2 perimeter, 15% infill. Not supports needed.I use 5 of these spool holders connect.
