Bushing and nut pass filament through an IKEA "Lack" table. The threaded end of the bush has a male M10 thread that matches the nut perfectly. At both ends, M6 female threads allow for mounting 4mm M6 pneumatic connectors, just like these ones: https://amzn.to/2BhCasV. The width of the nut and the bush is precisely 17mm. I use this setup for connecting my Drybox to Prusa i3 MK3. It's a necessary step for upgrading to multi-material capabilities, which come with their own set of bowden cables.
