Quickly crafting a delicate doily bowl, printed in lightweight PLA and transformed into a beautiful vessel using the oven. See our instructions below. Instructions Begin by printing your doily flat in lightweight PLA. To turn it into a stunning bowl, follow these simple steps: Preheat the oven to 102°F degrees Celsius. Cover a baking tray with aluminum foil and position a Pyrex bowl upside down on top. Press a new sheet of aluminum foil tightly over the bowl to ensure an even shape. Place the foiled bowl in the oven to warm up for a short time. Immediately put your lace doily on top of the heated bowl and close the oven door quickly. Wait a brief moment - typically less than one minute - before checking on it. The PLA should now be beginning to droop, with a gentle curl starting to form but not losing its overall shape entirely. Remove the tray from the oven and gently press down on the doily using both hands, working to mold it perfectly around the curves of the bowl. Your lace bowl is now ready! Allow a few seconds for the PLA to set before carefully transferring it into a serving dish.
