Update 16 Apr 2017: Added lace locks. Update 15 Mar 2017: Version 2 is now available! The interlocking surfaces profile has been significantly improved to prevent the cleats from being pulled apart by tightly bound laces. The holes for laces have been greatly enlarged, making it possible to use thicker laces without issue. For regular or thinner laces, using cover strips will reduce the hole diameter. Redesigned cover strips now fit seamlessly into position without any need for glue. These strips not only decrease the hole size to accommodate regular/thinner laces but also allow for a second color on cleats for enhanced color matching. Note: All previous version files and images have been removed to avoid confusion. If you require the older version, feel free to send a message. ======================================================================= Update 22 Dec 2015: Color strip files are now available. Adding glue to the strips not only makes the cleats stronger but also allows for printing in a second color that perfectly coordinates with the shoe's color, giving an even more stylish look. When gluing two strips onto both sides of each cleat, print a total of eight strips. If using just one strip per cleat (total of four strips needed), make sure to ensure the cleats are properly oriented so that all color strips end up facing upwards when locked in pairs and attached to the shoe laces. ===================================================================== Another clever solution to avoid tying shoelaces is being presented here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXmi_FiX0-I The Klots, which I had previously tried, detached after some use while running for extended distances. This led me to design a different method that remains secure even during intense activities. These lockers are designed to be printed with the long side facing vertically to maximize holding strength. No support structures are needed. I printed mine using an M3D Micro 3D printer without infill using PLA. However, if your prints yield poor quality like mine did, the holes may require some smoothing to avoid any rough edges that could slice through the shoe laces. If you choose to create one, I'd love to see your photos and read your comments. Thank you! Print Settings: Printer: Micro 3D Resolution: Any
