Labyrinth Coin with Code
thingiverse
A unique coin design features a labyrinthine pattern on one side and an encoded message on the other, showcasing early experiments in maker coins. The labyrinth design was sourced from Google images with unknown origins, allowing for potential replication of similar designs. To create this intricate design, start by numbering the rings from the center of the coin and identify a consistent sequence of angles (clockwise) where spokes intersect. Arcs are defined by ring number and start/stop angle numbers, while spokes are defined by angle number and inner/outer ring numbers. Control over overall size is achieved through setting a few key constants. The coding on the backside of the coin leaves room for user imagination, with the aid of a program that computes correct mark positions, which can then be integrated into the SCAD code.
