Labo VR Unit with connections for Head Strap

I really like the unit itself, but if I'm going to play Breath of the Wild in VR, Nintendo's design choices just won't cut it. So I took the lens piece and built a brand new VR unit around it, 3D printing with plastic - this thing should serve me well for quite some time. Please note that even after you print that, you'll still need the official Labo VR lens to get everything up and running. The pieces interlock perfectly, but you'll still need to superglue things together (except for the lens itself). My measurements weren't entirely accurate, so when you connect it all together, be sure to really push those connector pieces into place as the glue dries to secure the left and right sides of the unit properly to the top and bottom. There are two versions of the print available, depending on how tall your 3D printer can go. If you've got enough height, use the single base piece version - if not, opt for the three-piece version instead (two halves and a connector). Try to print without supports whenever possible. My top and bottom pieces needed some support, but I'm pretty sure that's it (the top only needed it for the little lip that hides the light where the strap connects on the top). If you decide to add a comfort pad (you can snag one of those along with an extra headstrap for around $20-$25 total from eBay or Amazon), the design is made so that the head strap hugs the comfort pad in place. It works just fine and doesn't bother me, but be aware that this is how it needs to work with the current design.
