Label Dispenser

Label Dispenser

This creation is part of the Ultimaker challenge, and I am involved as a maintainer of MCAD and a meta-maintainer of github.com/SolidCode. Additionally, I serve as the RepRap/RepLab ambassador in Finland. In terms of improvements, I have revamped the code to enhance parameterization and added a roll holder to accommodate label rolls inside the dispenser. Future plans include increasing support for larger rolls and packing tape, adding a handle with possible automation features inspired by packing tape dispensers, and welcoming anyone who can share images of packing tape dispenser inner workings. Updates include a guard to keep the roll in place, a refactored code for accommodating bigger rolls, a handle attachment, and holes for two-handed label dispensing action. Instructions will be provided once development is completed, with the STL file printable. The cylinder serves as a bearing for the label roller, although overhang testing has not been conducted yet. The big.stl file supports rolls with an OD of less than 60 but currently does not work well for dispensing tape. Filing may be necessary to ensure proper handle attachment.
