In the lab, I'm working with 1.5 ml vials and need a custom-made rack to ensure I can easily detect when I've pipetted exactly 10 µl into each one. After researching commercially available racks, none met my requirements, so I decided to design and build my own. The unique holes in my rack are only 7 mm deep with a diameter of 12.5 mm, allowing me to visually confirm that I've reached the desired 10 µl mark while keeping the vials safely secured in place.
