Lab-on-an-Arduino Spectral Absorbance Shield aka Optical Density Meter
thingiverse
This Arduino Shield measures optical density (OD) via a standardized cuvette using three channels for distinct wavelengths, each featuring 5mm LEDs. The design accommodates a TIL-99 phototransistor. Find more details at hackteria.org/?p=2194. To create the shield, utilize 3mm MDF and laser cutting. Optimize raster settings for appropriate LED fitting and pin-header row depth. For double-sided rastering, perform two sequential steps: first, cut out the initial two layers deeply; then, flip the main shield part to finish the other side's rastering.
