La silla Río

The piece is renowned for its use of abstract forms and curves, exemplified in the "Río Chaise Longue." A timeless classic, the Río chair was designed in collaboration with daughter Anna Maria Niemeyer in 1978 and made from curved laminated wood lacquered black, upon which a tensioned handwoven Brazilian rattan fabric is stretched. Additionally, it features a cylindrical black leather cushion that serves as headrest and is adjustable in height.
