Denis Foyatier, a renowned French sculptor of neoclassical style, was born on September 21, 1793, in Bussières, Loire, and passed away on November 19, 1863, in Paris. After leaving his farming job, Foyatier continued to create sculptures to fund his education at the School of Drawing in Lyon. The sculpture showcased is La Sieste, intricately carved from marble and displayed proudly at the Musée du Louvre. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory.
