La Pavoni boiler nut removal tool
thingiverse
I needed to extract the aged plastic nut from the bottom of my Gaggia G106, a machine identical in design to the La Pavoni. Unfortunately, the nut fractured during removal but the tool proved effective, and it was also necessary to utilize it for installing the new nut as it resisted being screwed on due to its tight fit (initially I suspected cross-threading). The tool fits a 1/2" ratchet extension bar or any other substantial pipe that can pass through the hole. You may need to print numerous perimeters or nearly 100% infill. This solution remains significantly cheaper than renting the specialized tool for $20.
