La Muria de Puente Almuhey (Valderrueda, León)
sketchfab
This stone, located in the plaza that welcomes travelers coming from Cistierna, Almanza or the Tuéjar Valley to Puente Almuhey, is known as “the Muria.” In this place, the borders of the three ancient municipalities (Valderrueda, Renedo de Valdetuéjar and La Vega de Almanza) and two judicial districts converged. It had inscriptions on each side and four recesses in the upper part to place a jar and three cups for the representatives of each municipality. The current state only allows well distinguishing the central circle intended for the jar and sidestepping those of the cups.\nIt is located just a few meters from the Romanesque hermitage of Our Lady of Angustias and the medieval bridge over the Cea River.
