La Marzocco Portafilter Handle
thingiverse
This is a 3D printable portafilter handle modeled after standard La Marzocco handles. I created these using Hatchbox Wood, smoothed them with 150 grit sandpaper, stained them with dark walnut wood stain, and sealed them with spray can lacquer. This is part of a full set of wooden accents I designed and printed for the cafe where I work (JoLa Cafe, Portland, OR). Links to other wooden accents are provided below. Be careful not to sand too much beyond 150 grit if using the same filament as me. I found that it doesn't hold the stain well and appears less like it would if sanded at or before 150 grit. The hole in the handle fits a 12mm x 100mm threaded rod with a 1.75 pitch. As you screw in, it should be a very tight fit. I located the rod at my local hardware store. How I Designed This: I created this design using Fusion 360.
