INGENIERIA AVANZADA CONSULTORES S.A.S. FlyingWorks Precise information from the air Civil and complementary works in Calarcá city on the east side. The Línea Tunnel, also known as "The Line" in English, is a key component of the road corridor connecting Bogotá with Buenaventura port on the Pacific ocean. Construction began in December 2008 and was initially set to be completed by 2013. This massive project spans 8.6km through the central cordillera of Colombia's Andes mountain range, crossing into Tolima and Quindío departments beneath the iconic "Alto de La Línea". Although significant progress has been made, a staggering 12% of the work remains to be done, including crucial engineering feats such as 18 additional tunnels, 23 viaducts, and finishing the main tunnel. A new consortium took over the project, with a revised deadline set for completion in 2019. Upon finishing, it will become the longest automotive tunnel in all of Latin America. Given the limited available data, this is the very first 3D digital reconstruction ever created!
