"La Danse" in Opera House of Paris

This is not the original "La Danse" by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, but a replica created by Jean Juge on the façade of Opera Garnier in Paris. The authentic piece has been housed at the Orsay Museum since 1988. Models of "La Danse" were available on Sketchfab, such as jks_rnr's design (https://skfb.ly/CAOJ), which closely resembles the actual sculpture found at the Opera, and Geoffrey Marchal's rendition from Copenhagen, Denmark (https://skfb.ly/FzGu). However, there is a personal satisfaction that comes with capturing images myself. On Sunday morning, July 26th, 2015, I took 65 photographs using my Sony A6000 camera equipped with an 19mm prime lens. To provide context, I included the pedestal and staircase of the Opera in the shots. The Khan Academy offers a presentation about the sculpture (https://youtu.be/3ZGmMTNyW0k). In comparison to jks_rnr's model uploaded several months prior, one thumb is noticeably missing from the hand of a nymph, which is unfortunate. Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux's other masterpiece, Fontaine de l'Observatoire in Paris, can be viewed on Sketchfab (https://skfb.ly/DVZK).
