La Crosse tx60u-it holder
thingiverse
This is a temporary holder designed to accommodate the La Crosse tx60u-it. I'm planning to print this in a few months, but for now, it's just a placeholder. My printer will be arriving soon, so I don't know what settings are best for printing this model. If you decide to print it first, let me know how it turns out or if I need to adjust the settings. The picture shows the part that this holder is intended to support. Update: I made some changes to eliminate any need for supports on top and adjusted the holes to reduce the likelihood of requiring additional support. Thanks to MidnightSmith from Reddit for printing a prototype and sharing their experience with me. They kindly provided pictures of the brown box at https://www.reddit.com/user/midnightsmith/. You can also check out their YouTube video at https://youtu.be/RFY0FZOuiPo. Their recommended settings are listed below, which took approximately 3 hours to print: Speed: 60mm/s Layer height: 0.2 Wall speed: 50% Initial layer: 90% Infill: 20% (any lower and the wall might appear flimsy) Fill pattern: Rectilinear Slicer software used: Simplify3D
