The L85A3 is a revamped iteration of the SA80, which first appeared in British Army service during the mid-1980s. This bullpup has undergone multiple transformations since then, culminating in the latest L85A3 model designed to prolong the operational lifespan of all rifles until 2025. As there's currently a shortage of political will to develop a replacement for this firearm, upgrading existing models with new modifications is the most cost-efficient option available.
