This is a simple mounting solution for the affordable L80 module from Quectel, based on the Mediatek MTK location engine. In addition, a CR2032 button cell is integrated into the design to preserve the SRAM and RTC functionality. Given its 7uA consumption rate, this component should provide extended operational life. To optimize reception of the patch antenna, a copper tape is applied at the mount's base to create a ground plane.
