L3K to Bowden Adapter
thingiverse
I want to swap out my current Prusa clone's geared direct setup for a Bowden configuration without ditching my existing geared extruder setup. The problem is, I don't want to switch to an MK8 setup. After scouring online forums, I found some alternative solutions but they didn't quite fit the bill. To bridge this gap, I turned to Fusion 360 and 3D printing magic. The result is a custom adapter that mimics a standard J-head/E3D V6 hotend, allowing me to mount it directly into my extruder as if it were a genuine hotend. This adapter is designed for use with my existing PTFE coupler, which boasts a 5.7mm diameter thread and a 4mm length (approx.). The inner diameter of the coupler is 2.2mm, while the hole itself measures 6mm in diameter. I suspect it should also work seamlessly with Greg's extruder body. Now that I have this adapter up and running, my next challenge is finding a way to mount the usual L3K body to my Prusa clone.
